Ashley Graham is from Lincoln, Nebraska. Growing up with her sisters, Ashley was frequently bullied by her classmates because of her large legs. In 2009, she was featured in "Glamour magazine"'s "These Bodies Can Be Beautiful at Any Size" alongside Sally Singer. Graham was in the news again in 2009 after she was featured in the scandalous Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was banned across the globe. At the time that the advertisement was pulled from YouTube, it had been viewed over 800,000. When the controversy spiraled, she appeared as a guest on Jay Leno's "The Tonight Show". Graham gained not long after her fame and has become one of the top-respected models of plus size. Grande began singing and acting as a child. In 2008, Grande was offered a role in The Broadway show 13 before she began to appear on television in small roles. The first time she got a big break in 2010, when she appeared on the Nickelodeon TV show Victorious. She played Cat Valentine a teenage girl attending a performing art school. In 2013, after the demise of the sitcom in 2013, she appeared on the sitcom Sam & Cat.
