Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist, and competing in the UFC flyweight division. She is the older sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a second medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and then was named in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia has started her professional career in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016 the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. The WMC World Championships also held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thai World Champion. Antonina's final bout took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was victorious by unanimity. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She took the fight via TKO at the end of round 2 and the two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing and came back with Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa with a unanimous verdict and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion.
