Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Sunshine has performed everywhere. Sunshine is Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by singing and playing the piano in church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music within Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You A House 12 was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed many times, and has become a staple of her live show. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. In 2005 she took on the role of the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention due to her four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform at Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
