Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American actress and model. The agent that spotted her and recognized her abilities encouraged her to enter the industry of entertainment. At the end of the day, after some thought and contemplation, she decided to leave school to start a new career in the entertainment industry. Her debut came in the movie Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror and she was dissatisfied with her performance. In order to prove her worth, she appeared in several low-budget movies to enhance her acting. It was not an straightforward path for the actor however, her determination and patience earned her acclaim. After the success of Training Day, her career as an actor began to take off.
